NE/R: GHANA CHRISTIANS HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF GHANA (CHAG) SUPPORTS THE BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTRE TO FIGHT COVID-19

It is a women and children rights advocacy organization.
On Tuesday 29th September, Songtaba donated food
items and covid 19 protective items to the Gambaga alleged witches camp worth
thousands of Ghana cedis. This donation was to support the vulnerable women
living in excluded camp
The relief items distributed to the witches camp include
In partnership with PLAN international, SONGTABA is implementing
the women voice and leadership project as part of the project intervention is
supporting vulnerable groups with covid 19 relief items in the East Mamprusi
Municipality.
In donating the
items, the head of programs and policy at Songtaba Mr. Abdul – Kasiru Shani urge
all the alleged witches to make good use of the COVID 19 protective items given
them because the disease is real and killing. According to Mr. Kasiru Shani
the organization is intended to visit all alleged witches camp to make some
donations across the country.
Songtaba did the donations incollaboration with NCCE,
social welfare, the East Mamprusi municipal information service and presby go home project.
Total of about eighty-seven(87) alleged witches received the
items. According to the mangazia (Queen Mother) of the camp. They are more than
excited to receive such a wonderful donation from Songtaba and its partners.
And therefore call on all corporate organizations and entities to come to their
aid. She Also plead with LEAP authority to extent their program to cover them.
The home supervisor of the camp Mrs. Ruth Aloriweri
expressed her profound gratitude to Songtaba for the relief items offered to
the camp and she asked other organizations to remember them all the time.
