NE/R: GHANA CHRISTIANS HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF GHANA (CHAG) SUPPORTS THE BAPTIST MEDICAL CENTRE TO FIGHT COVID-19

 


The Baptist Medical Centre is one of the referal centres in the North East Region, the medical centre  since the outbreak of covid-19, has contributed enormously in fighting the disense.

            The facility, since January 2021, to |Sept 15th has recorded suspected cases of six hundred and ninteen (619), one hundred and fourty-two (142) are positive, eight (8) deaths and eight (8) are on home care, A total of one hundred and twenty-six have been recovered.

                Foreign common wealth and development office/UKAID is the main sponsor of the covid-19 response institutional capacity building project, (CRIB) project.

                Nobyah Fm in an interview with the administator of the East mamprusi municipal Baptist Medical centre, Mr Edward Addai, he indicated that the project has seen the engagement of radio discussion, citizen talks/briefing and social gathering synzitisation. "we have also trained all the health personels in other health facilities and chip compounds accross the municipality", he added.



            Mr, Edward Addai advised all the people in the North East Region to participate in the ongoing mass vaccination and also maintain the safety protocols to be able to mutigate the fight against covid-19.

            The administrator of the medical centre Edward Addai  also appeal to the mother agency CHAG to re-visit the contact tracing support to enable them conduct more tracing.

               The repressentative of the Nayiri chief Malnaba thanked CHAG and its mother sponsures tofor their enormous support to fight covid-19 in the municipality.

NE/R:CHEREPONI DAM(KATAPILA)TO BE DREDGED-HON.TAHIDU ABDUL RAZAK.

  The member of parliament for the Chereponi constituency Hon.Tahidu Abdul Razak on Sunday 28th  march cut sod for the dredging of the only source of water for the chereponi township and other closer communities like sangbana, Ando,Kpamamba,Bukasu,Bulasu etc. The Chereponi dam is over seventy years since its construction. the dam has lost its water holding capacity due to serious dilapidated of its bank.    The law maker for the area Hon.Tahidu Abdul Razak on cutting sod for the dredging and spillway construction,indicated that an appeal has been submitted to the ministry of Agric to aid in reshaping and sustaining the dam.according to him, solving the peoples problem is his sole duty as a representative in the national assembly.
