Our GODS AND ANCESTORS ARE WITH YOU: The overlord of Mamprugu to Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama

    
   Hon. Hajia Alima the minister of local Government and Rural Development with a  high delegation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) paid a  courtesy call on the overlord of Mamprugu and his council of elders this morning Sunday the 21st of June,2020 after a resounding victory in yesterday’s party primaries.

 

In a statement, the Nayiri pledge his infringing support for the elected parliamentary candidate also double as the member of parliament for the area and the NPP to win the 2020 general elections for this he said “our gods and the ancestors are going to guide and protect you through to victory in the upcoming presidential and  parliamentary elections”. He also admonished politicians to be calmed and decorous  in their utterances before, during and after the general elections for peace is very paramount in a sustainable development adventure.

 

The North East regional chairman of the NPP Fuseini Nurudeen (Chairman Nuru) in a statement said peace and unity is very key moving forward in the party within the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency. According to him, he is appealing to all rank and title of the party within the region to rally behind the respective PCs to win all seats in the region.

 The Deputy Director of NADMO in charge of disaster of volunteer group D.V.G Mr. Mahama Shaibu entreats all party members to be patient and serve the party stead fastly and with committed intensions. Mr. Mahama Shaibu entreated all disgranted perssons to come on board for a unitted force to retain power come December 7th, 2020.

 

Deputy North East Regional Minister Hon. Tahiru Tia advised all party members, delegates and all defeated aspirants to forgive. For this he said, forgiveness is required of us by God.

 

The member of parliament, and also the parliamentary candidate for Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama in a statement called for a collective efforts and responsibilities from the  rank and file of the party especially candidates who lost, to rally behind her to retain power after the 2020 general elections. The honorable Minister for local government went into the primaries with Sampa S. Mohammed who had 98 votes representing (15%), Musah Yamba Issahaku 82 votes representing (12%) and Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama winning overwhelmingly with 484 votes representing (73%)

NE-R: THE NAYIRI ACCEPTS RASHIDA MAHAMA NOMINATION AS MCE

  Hajia Rashida Mahama is the nominee  for the East Mamprusi municipal Assembly by his excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo. She was welcomed by the Mamprugu Overlord, Naa-Bohagu I. Speaking on behalf of the overlord, an elder of the Nayiri, Mba Maasu said, “ the overlord has accepted her”. Not only the overlord, but the entire state have embraced her, and we gave her a warm welcome”, he added. However, considering the misunderstanding that engulf her nomination, the overlord advised her to handle everyone well and also thanked the president for the decision. The newly nominated MCE was presented to the overlord and his council of elders in Nalerigu by the constituency executives of the ruling party (NPP). NE/R:CHEREPONI DAM(KATAPILA)TO BE DREDGED-HON.TAHIDU ABDUL RAZAK.

  The member of parliament for the Chereponi constituency Hon.Tahidu Abdul Razak on Sunday 28th  march cut sod for the dredging of the only source of water for the chereponi township and other closer communities like sangbana, Ando,Kpamamba,Bukasu,Bulasu etc. The Chereponi dam is over seventy years since its construction. the dam has lost its water holding capacity due to serious dilapidated of its bank.    The law maker for the area Hon.Tahidu Abdul Razak on cutting sod for the dredging and spillway construction,indicated that an appeal has been submitted to the ministry of Agric to aid in reshaping and sustaining the dam.according to him, solving the peoples problem is his sole duty as a representative in the national assembly.
