HAJIA ALIMA MAHAMA in a stable lead. The information reaching Nobyahfmonline i ndicates that, the incumbent member of parliament for the Nalerigu/Gambaga  constituency is in a stable lead  as voting  has ended in some of the voting centers. Voting has ended in about ten designated voting centers and Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama is leading comfortably.

The North East Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated that is unfortunate the way and manner in which some Aspirants within the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency are trying to cause corruption in the party in other to win the primaries He made his Statement when he visited the party constituency office which was one of the designed centers for election. Voting Underway in the Nalerigu/Gambaga Npp Primaries

Voting started at exactly 7:00 am this morning in all the thirty seven designated centers for the npp parliamentary primaries in the Nalerigu/Gambaga Constituency. About six hundred and sixty-eight delegates are expected to cast their vote to elect a parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the upcoming general elections. Three out of the initial four candidates are into the contest due to the disqualification of one of the candidates Hon. Peter Baaga. The Aspirants are; Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama Sampa S. Mohammed Musah Yamba Issahaku Polls are expected to end at 1:00 Pm Every voting center is secure with very tied security to ensure free and fair elections . 

NPP PRIMARIES: HAJIA ALIMA MAHAMA TO BE RE-ELECTED

The Nalerigu/Gambaga Primaries is one of the highly contested primaries in the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries. After the Suspension and Subsequent elimination of Hon. Peter Baga from the race, the three Aspirants has been vigorously campaigning to grap the nod to lead the party in the 2020 General Elections. a research conducted by NobyafmOnline indicate that incumbent member of parliament for the area who also double as the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Hon. Hajia Alima Mahama would win the upcoming primaries with huge margin. The research reveals that out of 127 polling stations 105 are in vehement support  of the incumbent MP to be retained. About 668 delegates are expected to cast their votes. The North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Fuseini Nurudeen has cautioned the Electoral Commission, Parliamentary aspirants, security agencies and various stakeholders to collaborate in the spirit of fairness to ensure that the outcome of the parliamentary primaries on Saturday reflect the choices of the delegates and the party as a whole. This, he said, would ensure peaceful contest and promote unity within the rank and file of the party as it gears up for the upcoming elections. In a statement issued ahead of the primaries on Saturday, June 20, Mr Nurudeen commended all aspirants in the region for the peaceful and decorous way they were going about their campaigns so far.
